Whenever I go home for a visit, we avoid political talk (for the most part) and now my dad even keeps Fox News off the TV (for which I am thankful for I just can’t keep my mouth shut). Of course, if my younger brother is also there, it has to be on and the battle ensues.

I like your labeling of coke and pepsi as modified water products…. You started out talking about pork and I have often thought that it would be fun to raise my own pork in a more humane way (but then I might decide to start my own Eastern NC-Style Barbeque Joint in WMI!)
